Product details
Ten M4 x 12 screws cover a full chassis strip-down with fasteners left over, which is the case for buying 0129ER rather than picking up singles as each one gives trouble. It is the DIN 966 screw SEBO uses through the AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G uprights and on the DUO, listed at position 61 in the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 parts diagram.
Steel screws driven repeatedly into moulded bosses lose their edge before the housing does. Swapping in new ones as a set, rather than reusing whatever came out, is what keeps a rebuilt machine quiet and free of the faint buzz a half-clamped panel produces. Twelve millimetres is the length to check carefully, since the M4 x 10 sitting beside it in most parts drawers starts just as easily and then falls short of the thread. Anyone servicing several of these machines will get through a pack faster than expected.
Measure from under the head when checking an old screw, and count the drive as well: within the M4 hardware on these machines there is a 10 mm and a 12 mm, and the shorter one starts in a 12 mm hole convincingly enough to be fitted by mistake. It reveals itself later as a bracket that will not stay square under load.
