SEBO Centrifuge-to-Adaptor Seal for DISCO

Air lost at a joint never reaches the floor. SEBO 3219 is the seal that sits between the centrifuge and the adaptor on the DISCO floor polisher, closing that junction so the airflow stays inside the duct where it does some work instead of leaking out inside the machine. It is a small component holding together one of the more important joints in the whole air path.

Seals of this kind harden, compress and take a permanent set over the years. Once that has happened the seal no longer springs back against its mating face, and a fine trace of dust builds up around the joint as proof of where the air is going. The machine feels down on power at the head while the motor sounds exactly as it always did, which is why this fault gets chased through pads, ducts and filters before anyone thinks to look at a flat piece of rubber. Wipe both mating faces clean before the new seal goes in, check that it is seated all the way round rather than pinched at one edge, and draw the joint together evenly.
