Product details

This rubber seal, part 562117001, is a solution-side gasket for the Hoover F8100 SteamVac carpet cleaner. Carpet cleaners run two wet circuits, and every joint in the clean-solution path depends on a seal like this to stay tight under pressure.

Rubber hardens with age and with the detergents it sits in. Once it has taken a set it no longer springs back against its mating face, and solution weeps past the joint. You find a damp patch under the machine where it was parked, or you notice the carpet coming up drier than it should because less of the tank is reaching the brushes.

The seal fits the Hoover F8100 SteamVac. Wipe the seat clean and set the seal squarely so it compresses evenly all the way round.
