SEBO Air Separator for SOFTCASE CE12

Air leaving the filter bag on a SOFTCASE CE12 has to be steered before it reaches the fan, and the moulding that does the steering is part 75097UL. SEBO lists it as the air separator at position 158 in the exploded parts list for the machine, at the tail end of the airflow group.

Its neighbours on the drawing tell you where to look for it. The air channel cover 75120SE is numbered at 154, the SOFTCASE sealing strip 5400-4 at 153 and the bearing pin 2910 at 156, so the separator is the last shaped component on that side of the machine before the air reaches the rotor 75060HE turning between the two blower housings, 75063GS on the left and 75064GS on the right. Filter bags for this machine come as 75175AM, a box of eight bags with caps. Because a cracked, warped or distorted separator changes the route the air takes rather than blocking it outright, the complaint from the owner is usually that the machine has never felt the same since a previous repair, not that it stopped working. Anything that has been forced back into place with a screwdriver during a past strip down is a candidate for replacement. It is worth inspecting on sight whenever the bag compartment is open for other work.
