SEBO Latching Bracket for CE12 SOFTCASE

A latch only works if it has something solid to close against. On the CE12 SOFTCASE that something is the latching bracket, SEBO part 75059. It is a small moulding, and it alone settles whether the machine shuts with one confident push or has to be coaxed every time.

What it holds down is worth spelling out. Top cover 75289CEER at position 110 closes over the bag compartment, and the bag for this machine is 75150, supplied eight at a time in pack 75175AM at position 20. That is eight bag changes between orders, each one working the same catch against the same bracket. Once the bracket rounds off, splits, or bends away from square, the catch starts releasing under vibration, and a cover that lifts while the machine is running lets air take a route it was never designed around.

SEBO stocks this one by name and number rather than by a drawn callout — the CE12 SOFTCASE parts list carries no position for it — so match 75059 exactly rather than working from the diagram. If a mounting boss stripped when the old bracket let go, the same list holds the fasteners used around that housing: pan head screw 01016 (STS 4x16, T20), 01021 (F 3.9x13) and 01029 (C 2.9x13, DIN 7981).
