SEBO Front Bottom Plate for X2 and X5 UPT Power Nozzles - Dark Grey

Every push across carpet wears the leading sole panel of a power nozzle a little more, and part 5413DG is the dark grey front bottom plate that replaces that panel on SEBO X2 and X5 UPT heads. It sets how the nozzle rides on the floor and forms the front edge of the intake opening.

Two things depend on it. The first is glide: the plate is the surface actually in contact with the floor, so its condition decides whether the head slides evenly or grabs and skates across a rug. The second is sealing, because the gap between the plate and the floor is the air channel through which everything is drawn in. Scuffs, thin spots and cracks change both at once. Once the plate no longer holds its height, the nozzle stops sealing against the surface, and the result is patchy pickup that no quantity of new bags or filters will cure. On hard floors, a worn plate also starts leaving marks of its own.

A factory plate returns the original glide and closes the air channel back up. It is one of the more satisfying repairs on an upright, because the improvement is immediate and obvious on the first pass. Colour distinguishes this part from its neighbours in the range rather than any difference in shape, so match the dark grey finish to your machine before ordering.
