SEBO X4 Chassis - Replaceme...

Product details
Some X4 repairs start at the frame rather than at anything bolted to it, and 5482DG is that frame: the chassis every other assembly on a SEBO X4 hangs from and takes its alignment from. Motor, bottom plate and brush housing all reference it, and it absorbs the push load fed in through the nozzle on every stroke.
It arrives bare of fasteners, with no support screws in the box, so the existing hardware has to be kept and reused or the screws sourced in advance rather than discovered missing halfway through a strip-down. Frames crack or twist after a fall down a flight of stairs, or slowly, from years of the machine being dragged about by its head. Once the structure moves, the trouble spreads outward: sealing faces no longer meet squarely and airflow leaks past them, the brush meets carpet harder at one end than the other, and rattles appear that cannot be pinned on any single component. That last symptom is usually what leads an owner to suspect the frame at all.
Working on a straight chassis is what puts every other part back where the factory meant it to sit. Set expectations honestly before ordering: this is a full teardown and rebuild rather than a quick swap, and it earns its keep on an X4 whose motor and nozzle still have plenty of life left in them.
