Product details

Secondary filter for Bissell's Zing and PowerForce bagless canisters, sold as part 1613056. It works downstream of the cyclone, catching whatever fine dust the spinning air did not manage to fling out on its own.

Filters in this position are often serviceable between replacements rather than strictly single-use, so confirm in your machine's manual whether yours is meant to be rinsed before putting it anywhere near a tap. Where washing is allowed, run it under water until the runoff comes back clear, then set it somewhere it can dry undisturbed for a full day, since surface-dry is not the same as dry all the way through. Refitting one before it is fully dry is a common way these canisters end up smelling stale, because trapped moisture turns caught dust into a paste rather than letting it rinse free.

Suction on a bagless canister depends more on filter condition than on a bagged machine, since there is no paper bag doing a first pass of filtration ahead of it. A filter that has visibly darkened, or that stays damp well past a normal dry time, is worth checking before assuming the motor itself is losing power.

Coverage runs across the 2156A and 2156E, the 1665 and 16652, and the 1665W. Once the media stays discolored after a full, unhurried dry, or the frame itself has cracked, replace it rather than cleaning it again.

  • Part: 1613056
  • Fits: Bissell Zing 2156A/1665/16652, AeroSwift 2156E, PowerForce 1665W
  • Function: secondary dust capture between the cyclone and the motor
  • Maintenance: dry it fully before refitting if you rinse it
