This genuine OEM bottom plate (also part #86-7214-02) acts as the front wheel shaft and underside cover for a wide range of Sharp cleaning heads. It guards internal components against floor debris and impact while maintaining proper airflow through the head.

A cracked or warped bottom plate lets the suction channel leak and exposes internal parts to debris and impact, which drags down pickup. This precision-molded plate reseals the underside so the head holds a tight suction path.
