Returns & Exchanges

Product details

A sweep ell takes a run through 90 degrees on a long radius instead of a tight corner, and part 502S is the steel one. On a vacuum line the radius is the point: a gradual arc gives debris nothing sharp to stall against on the way past.

A run gets built in steel where the job calls for metal pipe rather than plastic, and every fitting along it has to match. MD publishes this one as 18 gauge galvanized zinc-plated carbon steel made to ASTM standards, sold one at a time, and it pairs with the couplings, tees and wyes across the same range.

The two pipe materials are not intended to be fastened to one another, so a run that changes from metal to plastic partway along wants a proper transition at that point rather than a direct joint.
