Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Product details

Part 503S is the spigot-ended form of the steel sweep ell. The bend is the same long, gradual 90 degrees, but the end is made to drop into a neighboring fitting's opening rather than to receive a length of pipe, which is what suits it to fittings mounted hard against one another.

The socketed version of the same bend is part 502S, for runs where an ordinary pipe connection is available. Reach for 503S when the layout is tight enough that a fitting-to-fitting joint is the only way the turn will go in. MD publishes it as carbon steel, 18 gauge, galvanized and zinc plated, made and fabricated to ASTM standards and supplied one per order.

A spigot that is only half seated is easy to miss once the run around it is assembled, so confirm the end is pushed all the way home before moving on to the next fitting.
