The lever that lets a G Series upright stand on its own and then recline for use is part 50129, shown at position 151 in SEBO's ESSENTIAL G4/G5 parts diagram. It fits the SEBO ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5.
Being worked by foot, this lever takes rougher treatment than almost any other piece of plastic on the machine, and it is worked several times in every room. When it cracks, or when its action weakens, one of two things happens: the vacuum refuses to lock upright and leans over the moment you step away from it, or it will not drop into the cleaning angle without a fight. Neither state is safe to leave, since a machine that will not park reliably eventually falls against something. A new lever restores a crisp, positive click in both directions.
