Product details

Part HDSHCBEZHR01 is a switch and receptacle kit for the gas-pump-style handle on a Plastiflex electric central vacuum hose, built for the Eureka C4503170 and C4503171 and the equivalent Sanitaire C4503170 and C4503171 hoses.

The switch is what turns the power nozzle on and off from the handle, and the receptacle is where that circuit meets the wiring running down the hose. When either wears, the nozzle can cut out, run only in certain hose positions, or stop responding to the handle switch altogether.

  • Part: HDSHCBEZHR01, switch and receptacle kit
  • Fits: Eureka C4503170, C4503171; Sanitaire C4503170, C4503171 gas-pump-style electric hoses
  • Function: puts working on-off control and a sound power link back at the handle
  • Tip: disconnect the hose from the wall box before you take the handle apart

Make sure your hose uses the gas-pump-style grip before ordering, since the kit is cut for that handle shape and a different grip takes a different switch and receptacle. Comparing your own handle against the product photo is the quickest check there is.

Test the switch several times before closing the handle back up, since a connection that feels solid while the shell is open can still be marginal once everything is reassembled and under tension. Catching that now saves opening the handle a second time.
