SEBO 2-Pole Power Switch with Screws for X Series, G Series and DUO

On/off switching for the SEBO X series, the G series and the DUO all runs through one component, and part 5113 is it. This is the two-pole switch, carried by SEBO under reference 1802.3108, and it arrives with its mounting screws so nothing has to be salvaged off the old one.

Two poles means the switch breaks both sides of the supply, which is why a failure here takes the whole machine down rather than one function. Contacts erode a fraction every time they make and break current under load, and after years of daily use the erosion shows itself plainly enough: a rocker that needs nudging to catch, a machine that drops out when the handle is knocked or the cord is moved, a switch body that feels warm to the touch after a session. None of that improves on its own, and a switch that has started arcing internally is worth changing before it takes anything else with it.

The mounting screws being included is a genuinely useful detail rather than a throwaway one. Screws that have been in and out of a plastic boss for years often come out with the thread already stripped, and finding a replacement of the correct length and head afterwards is a nuisance out of all proportion to the part. Supplying them with the switch means the job can be finished in one sitting. Note that this switch covers a broad span of the SEBO range, being the same two-pole component used across X series and G series uprights as well as the DUO.

Unplug the machine and note which wire lands on which terminal before disconnecting anything, since a photograph taken beforehand beats memory every time.
