The swivel neck is the joint that lets an ET-C power head follow the wand as you steer, and 6137DG is the dark gray shell that closes that joint off. It carries no load, but cracked or missing it leaves the pivot open to lint, hair and grit.
Covers give way at the fixing points after years of flexing, or simply scuff pale against baseboards and furniture legs. Colour matters here, since the same cover is moulded in two finishes: match the dark gray version to the rest of your head rather than guessing. The light gray equivalent is stocked as 6137HG.

The cover has to come off before the pivot can be worked on, so it is often removed for a different reason entirely — a neck that sticks, a worn release, or a strip-down to reach the belt. If the joint underneath turns out to be the real complaint, the complete swivel neck assembly is 6145DG, the release button with its leaf spring is 1737GS and the cap over it is 1738GS.
Because the cover is the visible face of the joint, colour drift shows up here before anywhere else on the head. Two shades of the same moulding, a scuffed original and a fresh one, read as mismatched from standing height, which is the main reason people replace a cover that is still technically intact.
