Light gray trim on an ET-C head means 6137HG is the cover you want for the swivel neck. It caps the pivot behind the head, keeping the articulating joint enclosed and finishing the housing at the point where the neck meets the body.
Broken or absent, the cover leaves that joint collecting debris and can make the neck feel loose as you push and pull. Replacement does not disturb the pivot itself. Check the shade against your machine first, because the identical part is also produced in dark gray under a separate number, 6137DG.

SEBO runs the whole release group in both shades, so a light gray head that has lost its cover has usually scuffed the button and cap alongside it. Ordering 1737HG and 1738HG at the same time avoids a two-tone finish at the most visible point on the machine, and both are quick to change once the cover is away.
Wear items in an ET-C head are catalogued individually, so a strip-down for the cover is a chance to deal with the rest in one go: the brush roller complete with its strip is 2030ER and the strip on its own is 2046. A roller whose bristles have gone flat will not clean carpet however good the swivel feels.
