SEBO Left-Hand Swivel Neck ...

Product details

Steering an upright happens at the neck, where the handle body pivots over the power head. Part 50439ER is the left-hand support for that joint on the SEBO 300 Mechanical and 350 Mechanical, catalogued at position 142 on the parts drawing that covers both machines. It is one half of a pair — the right-hand support is 50440ER at position 140 — and the two are handed, so the side matters as much as the part number.

When the left support cracks at its boss, or its bearing surfaces wear oval, the neck develops play that shows up immediately in how the machine handles. It wanders instead of tracking where you point it, the handle sits low on one side, and each change of direction works the loose joint a little further. Left long enough, the movement starts loading whatever passes through the neck, and a small plastic support turns into a much larger repair. Fitting a correct replacement takes the slack out and returns positive control at the handle.

Both supports live the same life, so if one has failed the other is usually not far behind — renewing the pair at a single strip-down is the sensible call. The swivel neck itself is 50448HG, and the support lever with its spring is 50438HGER. SEBO shows screw 0197 at position 144 and screw 01010, a 4 x 16 DIN 7985 head, at position 146 in the same area; both are also listed in 10-packs as 0197ER and 01010ER.
