Supplied with reed switch 52103 already installed, 52018ER is the right side of the swivel neck support used on the AUTOMATIC X7 Premium, AUTOMATIC X7 Pet and AUTOMATIC X8. It does two jobs at once. Structurally it carries the pivot load on that side of the neck. Electrically it holds the magnetic switch that tells the machine whether the handle is standing upright or has been laid back for cleaning.
The two failures show up differently. A hairline crack around the boss makes the neck feel loose in the hand and lets the body lean a fraction further on one side than the other. A tired or displaced reed switch leaves the machine unsure of handle position, so it behaves as though the handle were parked when it is not. SEBO draws the support at position 103 on the AUTOMATIC X7/X8 breakdown, with the reed switch itself catalogued separately at position 117 as part 52103 — but with the switch pre-fitted here, both faults are settled in one repair and there is no second component to order or align.
