This is the panel that takes the roughest treatment on the whole machine, because it is the surface a crew rests the unit on between rooms, drags across a van's cargo floor while loading up, and knocks against stairs, curbs, and doorframes without much thought given to it. Over enough months of that handling, hairline cracks start to spread from the corners where the panel takes the most direct impact, and a crack that size is often invisible from a standing glance while still bleeding a surprising amount of air into the housing instead of letting the machine draw through its intended path. A unit that has quietly lost suction is worth checking here first, precisely because this panel sits out of view for most of a shift and rarely gets a second look during routine maintenance.
