Product details

Titan uses part 17-8904-01 for the screw that fastens the T750 backpack vacuum's bottom housing cover in place.

Fits the Titan T750.

These are the fasteners that go missing during a filter change or a field repair done without a parts tray close at hand. A single screw rolls off a workbench, drops into a customer's carpet, or ends up in someone's pocket by accident, and the panel ends up reassembled short one fastener without anyone noticing at the time. A housing panel that is not fully secured starts to flex every time the machine is set down or bumped against something, and that flex works the remaining screws loose faster than they would wear on their own, which is how a small oversight during one repair turns into a cracked cover and a full replacement a few months later. The plastic boss each screw threads into is not especially forgiving either, so a screw that has been forced in at an angle once tends to strip on the next removal, leaving nothing solid for even a correctly sized replacement to grip.

  • Part: 17-8904-01
  • Fits: Titan T750
  • Function: secures the bottom cover to the housing
  • Install: thread into the original boss without overtightening, plastic strips easily

Keeping a few spares on hand is worth it for anyone servicing these machines regularly, since it is almost always the small hardware that walks off first during a repair, long before any of the larger parts show real wear. Thread each screw in by hand until it seats, then give it a final quarter turn with a driver rather than running it in with power the whole way, and check the rest of the screws on the same panel while you are there since one loose fastener is rarely the only one.
