Product details

Part 040033 is Titan's control module for TCS5702 and TCS6602 central vacuum power units, and the identical board serves the Electrolux E130A, E130J, and 1590.

This board reads the low-voltage call sent from a wall inlet and closes the circuit that starts the power unit, so a failing module produces electrical symptoms rather than mechanical ones. A unit that stays silent when a hose goes into an inlet, one that starts and then will not shut back off, or one that answers some inlets but ignores others all point toward this board rather than the motor. The motor itself checks out fine in nearly every one of these cases, which is exactly the reason to swap the board first.

A central vacuum power unit is a long-service machine, so replacing a failed control board on a system that otherwise runs fine is a reasonable repair rather than a stopgap before buying a new unit. Shut off power at the breaker before removing the housing cover, since the board stays wired to the incoming power side of the unit and remains live until the circuit is dead.

Rule out a damaged low-voltage wire at the affected inlet before ordering the board, since a single pinched or severed wire can produce the exact same no-start symptom at that one location while every other inlet keeps working normally. If the symptom shows up at every inlet rather than just one, the board is the far more likely culprit.
