Titan Lid Latch Screw - T750

Product details
Screw 17-7503-08 threads the lid latch into the T750 backpack housing, and it is easy to write off as generic hardware right up until the one on your machine goes missing or strips out.
Mounting bosses do not forgive a mismatched screw. A fastener slightly coarser or longer than the original chews out the threads on the very first turn, and once that happens the boss will not reliably hold anything driven into it afterward, not even the correct replacement part. This screw is cut to the T750's original pitch and length, so it drives into the existing threads instead of cutting new ones, and that distinction matters because a small housing boss rarely survives a second attempt at the same hole.
Fasteners like this one wear out of view, so they tend to get overlooked during routine maintenance until the latch itself starts to feel loose or the lid no longer pulls down evenly on that side. Keeping a spare on hand for a machine that runs daily routes saves a trip mid shift for what is otherwise a two minute fix. A spare kept in the service kit means the discovery stalls the job for minutes rather than days.
Drive it in by hand until it meets resistance, then finish the last turn with a driver set light so the head stops flush rather than sinking into the surrounding material. Overtightening strips more of these bosses than simply losing the screw does.
