A crack in this baffle creates two problems that show up together, which is exactly what makes the fault confusing to diagnose from the outside. Air meant to carry heat away from the motor windings escapes through the split instead of doing its job, and a split that opens into the working air path bleeds suction from what the machine delivers to the wand as well, so a T750 with a cracked baffle tends to run noticeably warmer, often while cleaning weaker, with nothing visibly wrong to the eye.
