Product details

This 45-degree elbow, listed for the Titan TCS4702, TCS5702, and TCS6602 central vacuum systems, is the mid-angle fitting installers use when a run needs to change direction more than a spigot allows but a full 90-degree turn would cost too much airflow.

The angle matters because central vacuum systems rely entirely on airflow to carry debris, there is no auger or mechanical feed pushing anything along. A sharper bend slows that airflow at the exact point where it needs to keep moving, and slowed airflow is where debris starts to settle rather than travel through to the unit. Two 45-degree elbows placed a short straight section apart can often replace a single 90 with noticeably less resistance, a common trick on longer runs feeding a distant inlet.

Elbows and spigots of the same angle are not always interchangeable between manufacturers, since socket depth and outside diameter can vary slightly across brands even when the pipe itself is a common 2-inch standard. Sticking with parts listed for your specific system, as this one is for the Titan TCS4702, TCS5702, and TCS6602, avoids a joint that looks seated but is not cemented to its full depth.

  • Fits: Titan TCS4702, TCS5702, TCS6602
  • Function: 45-degree directional change with less airflow resistance than a 90-degree elbow
  • Connection: socket fit for standard 2-inch central vacuum pipe, solvent-cemented
  • Use case: moderate direction changes, or paired to replace a single sharp 90-degree turn

Dry-fit the section before gluing anything. Central vacuum layouts often need a small rotation adjustment to line the elbow up with the next fitting, and that correction is far easier to make before the cement sets than after.
