Titan Automatic Wall Inlet,...

Product details

This automatic wall inlet, in white, is listed for the Titan TCS5702 low-voltage central vacuum system. Automatic inlets use a low-voltage signal wire, run alongside the 2-inch pipe stub, to tell the power unit to start the instant a hose is inserted, rather than requiring a separate switch anywhere in the house.

The door on an automatic inlet opens as the hose cuff is pushed in and closes again once the hose is pulled, sealing the inlet against air leaks between uses. That seal matters more than it seems: an inlet door that does not close fully, whether from a worn hinge or debris caught in the frame, pulls air continuously at that one location and softens suction at whatever inlet is actually in use elsewhere in the house.

Low-voltage terminals on an automatic inlet like this one carry only a small signal current, not full household voltage, so the wiring itself is simple two-conductor bell wire rather than anything requiring conduit or a junction box. That said, a short or a break anywhere along that low-voltage loop, not just at the inlet itself, will stop the system from starting, so trace the whole run if a newly installed inlet does not trigger the power unit.

  • Fits: Titan TCS5702
  • Function: low-voltage automatic inlet with a self-closing door and screw terminals for the signal wire
  • Color: white
  • Wiring: low voltage only, not a line-voltage electric inlet

If you are matching an existing installation rather than a new TCS5702 system, check your unit's low-voltage inlet style before ordering. This fits the standard low-voltage two-terminal design, but central vacuum inlet dimensions are not fully universal across brands and it should not be assumed to fit systems outside those listed here.
