SEBO Top Casing for AIRBELT E3 Premium - Red

Position 22 on SEBO's AIRBELT E exploded diagram is the top casing, and the sheet lists 8328DRER there as the red one. It fits the AIRBELT E3 Premium and forms the entire upper face of the canister: the surface the machine is picked up by, the panel that gives the body its outline, and the half that closes down onto the base moulding along the seam.

Read the number rather than the picture. The two letters buried in the middle of a SEBO shell part number are the colour code, and they hold right across the AIRBELT E sheet. DR is red, which makes the top casing 8328DRER, the bottom casing 8335DRER at position 1, the exhaust air filter cover 8249DRER at position 4 and the filter cover 8224DRER at position 24 all parts of the same red shell. Change those two letters and the same moulding arrives in a different finish.

A second trap sits right next door. Positions 22, 23 and 24 are three separate parts with confusingly similar names: 22 is this outer top casing, 23 is the top cover inner part that carries the latch, and 24 is the filter cover. A lid that will not stay shut is almost always 23 rather than 22 — on this machine that number is 8341ER.

The reasons this panel gets replaced are blunt ones. A corner broken off after the canister has gone down a flight of stairs, a crack tracking across the top face, deep gouging from being dragged, or a lid sitting proud on one side because a mounting boss underneath has given way. None of that touches the working parts — the vac motor at position 9, the pre-motor filter box 8322AM at 20 and the bag chamber at 21 all carry straight over — which is why fitting a fresh shell beats retiring the machine.
