The top cover on a Numatic or NaceCare wet vacuum does two jobs at once: it caps the motor and it carries the switch assembly. Part 227920 is the replacement for the newer 12-inch wet machines built with two switches, and it is listed for the George, CT370, CTT370, CT470 and GVE370.
These covers take the brunt of a machine that gets dragged through doorways and set down hard. Once the plastic cracks around a switch aperture, the switch rocks in its opening instead of sitting firm, and the top of the motor is left open on a machine that spends its working life around water. A cover that no longer clamps flat is worth changing before it turns into an electrical problem.
It seats over the motor in place of the original. Count the switches on your machine before ordering: this is the two-switch version, so a single-switch top will not match.
