Bristle gauge is what separates one scrub brush from the next. At 0.6 mm the filament is fine enough to stay flexible across smooth floors and dense enough to carry cleaning solution into the soil rather than skating over it, which makes this the everyday choice for routine maintenance scrubbing. Heavier 0.9 mm bristle is the step up for tile, grout lines and textured concrete.
Replace the brush when the bristles have worn down or flattened; a short brush forces the machine to lean on down pressure to do work the filament should be doing.
