Single-disc machines stay in service for decades because the frame is generic to the job: change what you bolt underneath and the same unit scrubs tile, strips old finish, shampoos carpet or polishes a coated floor.

Seventeen inches is the size most crews default to. It clears standard doorways, gets into restrooms and around fixtures, and is easier for a new operator to keep straight than a wider deck. If your floors are mostly open, step up to the Brute Force 20 (97564B). Pad drivers mount on the right-hand-thread center, part F44P, which is used with the X8862 pad driver.
