Forty pounds of added ballast for the Tornado OB 20 orbital floor machine, supplied as kit 90048. Weight is what sets how hard an orbital head presses its abrasive into the floor. The machine's own mass gives the baseline, and this kit raises it for work where the standard down-pressure is not cutting fast enough to be economic.
Heavy removal is where it earns its place: old finish, adhesive residue, deep scuffing on concrete or stone. For routine scrubbing and finish maintenance the weight comes back off, since the extra load slows the pass and takes the life out of pads faster. It is intended to be added and removed as the job changes rather than left on the machine permanently.
