Product details

Part 93012B is the six quart machine in Tornado's Pac-Vac line, the same vacuum as the 10 quart version apart from the size of the bag it carries.

Everything else matches: 110 CFM of airflow at 110 inches of water lift, 69.5 dB at the operator's ear, four-stage filtration ending in a HEPA cartridge rated to capture 99.97 percent of dust and dirt, and up to 7,404 sq. ft. per hour on 120 volt power. The unit weighs 13 pounds.

The harness is the piece Tornado developed with Deuter, whose ordinary business is hiking and mountaineering packs. Its mesh back panel vents instead of sealing against the wearer, and Tornado rates the result at up to 25 percent less perspiration than a closed-back design. Five adjustment points let one machine fit different operators across shifts, which matters where equipment is shared.

Choosing six quarts over ten is a question of how far you get between stops. The smaller bag fills sooner, and airflow tapers as paper loads, so on long uninterrupted runs the extra emptying can cost more time than the lighter carried weight saves. Routes broken up by stairs, elevators and small rooms tend to favor this size. The machine ships with the hose, double bend wand and the full tool set: 17 in. crevice, 5 in. upholstery, 3 in. dusting, and 14 in. carpet, easy glide carpet and hard floor tools, plus ten paper bags.
