The Pac-Vac 6 Roam is the cordless member of Tornado's backpack line, part 93016B-1, and it comes with its charger but no battery.
Losing the cord is what moves the productivity number. Tornado rates the Roam at up to 10,582 sq. ft. per hour against 7,404 for the corded Pac-Vac, because nothing has to be unplugged, replugged or routed around furniture between rooms. A 36 volt lithium pack gives up to 55 minutes of run time and returns to full in about two and a half hours, so most crews buy a second pack and rotate rather than waiting on a charger mid-shift. Packs swap without taking the machine off.
The vacuum holds 6 quarts, weighs 19 pounds, moves 70 CFM at 65 inches of water lift and runs at 63 dB, quiet enough for daytime work in occupied space. Four-stage filtration ends in a HEPA cartridge rated at 99.97 percent, and the five-point Aircomfort mesh harness is the same Deuter design used across the Pac-Vac range.
The battery is a separate purchase, and a Roam without one cannot be switched on, so budget for at least one pack and ideally two. Everything else needed to work is in the box: crush-proof hose, double bend wand, three carpet and floor tools, dust brush, upholstery tool, crevice tool and the charger. Bags and the HEPA cartridge are the running costs to plan for after that, the same consumables the corded Pac-Vac takes.
