Stepping up from the 28 in. Torrent buys width and hopper and costs runtime. TW050-W43-U sweeps 43 inches with the side brushes out and 35.4 with them folded, holds 17 gallons of debris and is rated at 47,000 square feet an hour against 30,000 for the narrower machine.
Two 12 volt 50 Ah AGM batteries give up to two and a half hours of work and take eight hours to recharge, so on a distribution floor or a manufacturing building the charging plan matters as much as the sweeping path does. Map where the charger sits against the route before the first shift rather than finding the gap partway across the floor.
The flat-pleat filter at this size carries an electrical shaker, so dust can be knocked off the media without stopping to pull the filter, and the continuously active dust control motor keeps a pass from clouding. Counter-rotating tandem rollers feed the hopper while foldout side brushes clear the edges, and a front LED headlight shows what is ahead in a dim aisle.
At 273 lbs and 65 by 32 by 47 inches it needs a real clearance check against docks, aisles and lift doors before ordering, and it is not a machine one person lifts onto a trailer. It reads 62 dB(A), a little louder than the 28 in. version, and rides on the same oversized 14 in. front wheels with a rear caster.
