SEBO Tube Plug for DART — Gray Black

Item 27 on SEBO's DART exploded diagram is one of those parts nobody thinks about until it turns up missing after a service. It is the tube plug, and 7076GS is that moulding in gray black for the SEBO DART upright.

Its job is to cap a tube end, keeping that run of the airway closed and the moulding finished as SEBO intended. On the DART sheet it sits in the middle of the handle and tube group, drawn just ahead of the complete handle at item 28, the sliding button at item 30 and the switch frame at item 31, with the hose at item 33 and its retaining ring at item 38 further down the same drawing. Leave that end open and it whistles under load, gathers dust down the bore and presents a raw plastic edge where a smooth face belongs.

Plugs get mislaid on the bench, or they split once enough heating and cooling has worked the plastic hard. There is no good improvised substitute, since tape leaks immediately and keeps leaking as the adhesive creeps, and a wad of anything softer gets drawn into the airway. The right plug presses home into its seat in a few seconds, with no tools involved and nothing to line up. Because it is moulded to SEBO's original dimensions, it grips rather than rattles.
