The DBMAX10 sits at the top of Turbocat's bagged lineup, rated for coverage up to 22,000 square feet and built with two 5.7-inch 3-stage motors working together. The extra motor stages are what let a unit this size hold usable suction across a large home's worth of tubing rather than losing most of it to the length of the run.
Multi-stage motors work by passing air through more than one fan stage in series, each stage adding to the pressure the previous one built rather than starting from zero, the standard way manufacturers scale suction up for larger installations instead of just fitting a bigger single-stage motor.
