Turbocat Low Voltage Connec...

Product details

Titan's TCS-5525 and TCS-8575 central vacuum power units switch on and off through a low-voltage connector mounted directly to the canister, the terminal where the home's control wiring meets the power unit itself. Part 7106-01 is Turbocat's replacement connector for that mounting point.

A corroded, cracked, or loose can-mounted connector breaks that low-voltage path even though the motor and wiring elsewhere in the house are fine, and the symptoms can look like a much bigger electrical problem: the unit may run continuously, refuse to start, or respond only when the connector is jiggled. Because the connector lives on the outside of the canister where it is exposed to basement or garage humidity, it corrodes at a different rate than the sealed components inside the power unit, which is part of why it tends to fail before the board or motor do.

Replacing the connector at the can restores a clean, solid low-voltage connection without touching the motor or the house wiring. Because the connector mounts to the canister itself rather than inside a separate control board housing, swapping it is a short job once the unit is unplugged and the canister is opened.

Confirm the connector shape and pin count against the original before ordering, since Titan has used more than one connector style across its central vacuum lineup.
