This upper motor bearing, part number R11414, fits the two-speed Rainbow E-2 canister from Rexair. It carries the top of the motor shaft, and because it spins at full motor speed continuously, it wears out on a clock measured in run hours rather than calendar years.
A failing bearing rarely quits without warning first. Listen for a grind or squeal that gets worse as the motor speeds up, feel for a buzz in the housing that was not there before, or spin the shaft by hand and check whether it still turns smooth and silent. Any one of those is the same message.
