Stairs, sofa seams and the strip behind a radiator all sit outside the working width of any upright, which is the gap pack 1997PK sets out to close. Three items come in it: the stretch hose at 9 ft 2 in. (1495AM), the hand-held turbo brush (6179ER) and the crevice tool measuring 24 in. (1093JV).
The order they are used in tends to be the order they are listed. The hose carries the machine's pull off the floor and up the staircase. The extra-long crevice tool then goes where fingers will not, down between cushion and frame, along the run of a skirting board, into the gap beside a built-in wardrobe. The turbo brush spins on moving air alone, with no cord and no motor of its own, and that agitation is what shifts hair pressed flat into stair carpet and woven fabric.
The three cover the jobs a SEBO upright is otherwise poorly suited to, and the crevice tool at double the usual length is the piece owners tend to be most surprised by. This pack is built for the upright range; the canister equivalent is 1996PK, which adds a parquet brush and the 1777ST extender.
