Vaculine 2" Stop-Type Coupl...

Product details

A stop-type coupling joins two straight sections of central vacuum pipe end to end, with an internal ridge, the stop, that keeps both pipe ends from sliding past each other and leaves a consistent, even gap for solvent cement to fill. Part 765529W is sized for 2-inch pipe measured on the outside, the standard bore used across most residential central vacuum installations.

Couplings like this one come into play any time a pipe run is longer than the stock length of tubing, when a damaged section needs to be cut out and replaced, or when two branches from different parts of a rough-in finally meet. Getting the stop-type detail right matters more than it looks: without an internal stop, installers can push one pipe too far into the fitting, leaving too little cement contact on the other side and producing a joint that looks solid but is not.

A coupling is also the standard way to repair a section of pipe damaged during other work in the house, cutting out the damaged length and gluing in a new section with a coupling at each end. Measure twice before cutting, since the coupling itself takes up a small amount of the pipe's length once both ends are seated to their stops, and an undersized replacement section will leave a gap that no amount of cement will close.

  • Part: Vaculine 765529W, stop-type coupling
  • Size: 2-inch OD central vacuum pipe
  • Standard: molded to ASTM F2158, the residential central vacuum tube and fitting specification
  • Function: joins two straight pipe sections with a built-in stop for even cement coverage
  • Installation: solvent-cemented, supported with standard pipe strapping

This is a general pipe fitting rather than a brand-specific part. Verify the outside diameter of your existing pipe against the 2-inch standard before ordering if you are matching an older or non-standard installation.
