SEBO Valve Cover for FELIX Premium and FELIX 2 Premium — Gray Black

Part 7056GS is the gray black valve cover for the SEBO FELIX Premium and FELIX 2 Premium. It is the moulded panel closing off the valve section of the airway, and it is a good deal more than trim: with the panel sound and seated, the suction path is sealed and the machine draws only through the route it is meant to.

The cover is thin moulded plastic held by locating tabs, sitting where the body meets the handle, which is exactly where an upright takes the hit when it goes over on a hard floor or catches a stair nosing. Damage there leaves the machine running exactly as before, which is why it goes unnoticed for so long. What changes is pickup at the floor, because the airway is now taking part of its air through the split rather than through the nozzle, and neither a fresh bag nor clean filters will bring it back. Look at the tabs as carefully as the panel itself: a cover with one broken tab no longer pulls down flat and leaks just as effectively as a cracked one.

Behind the cover is the valve itself, returned to its seat by a spring that SEBO supplies as the 7028ER set, containing both the original 7028 and the later 8128UL. If the cover has come off because of a suction complaint, compare that spring while you are in there, since a slack spring and a leaking cover produce very similar results and are easily confused.
