Canplas part 765541W is a valve extension for central vacuum inlet valves, a simple sleeve that adds depth between the valve body and the wall surface. It solves a problem that shows up mostly during finishing work: the valve was sized for a standard wall thickness, and the actual wall in front of it is thicker, whether from extra drywall layers, tile, wainscoting, or added insulation.
Without the right depth, an inlet valve either sits proud of the wall or will not seat and latch correctly once a hose is connected, and either problem shows up as a loose connection that leaks air and costs suction at that inlet. The extension closes that gap so the valve door lines up flush and the hose cuff seats fully home.
