The HS4000W kit puts a complete white Hide-A-Hose inlet on the wall rather than just a cover for one. Packaged under this single part number are the inlet valve, the finish door, a low voltage switch, four screws, two wire nuts, and a silicone pack.
White is the finish that disappears against standard wall plates in most homes, which is why it is the common choice on this line. It is also the finish that shows its age first, since plastic near a sunny window or a heat source can pick up a faint yellow cast years before anything on the valve stops working.
Because the retractable hose is stored inside the wall behind this inlet, the door and its seal see use every time the hose comes out and every time suction pulls it back in.
