Walls and ceilings hold a fine film of dust that a cloth mostly just relocates. The 1325GS wall and floor brush deals with it properly: a wide bristled head sweeps the surface while the airflow takes the dust into the bag, rather than letting it drift down and settle a foot lower.
The same head doubles as a bare-floor tool. It is a friction fit, holding by grip instead of a button catch, which makes it quick to pull off and put back when moving from a wall to the floor and on to the next room. Bristles are also the safer choice on painted plaster and finished timber, where the hard edge of a plain nozzle can score a line that only shows up later in daylight.
Jobs that call for it are the ones that get skipped: the ceiling above a stairwell, cobwebs in the corners of a hallway, the wall behind a radiator, artex and textured plaster that traps dust in every ridge, and garage or basement blockwork. On the floor it suits hard surfaces and the swept-clean pass before something wetter. Fitted to the 22 in. extension wand, 1084GS, it reaches most ceilings without a ladder.
