The Bissell Symphony Pet steam mop draws its water from a removable cup, and this is the replacement, part 1606717. It fits the 1543 and 1544 Symphony machines and the 1806 and 18067.
Because the cup is filled at the tap and snapped back on every session, the tabs and the sealing face wear out long before the mop does. A cup that will not lock down leaks over the top of the machine, and one that has scaled up inside chokes the feed to the boiler: the mop heats, the ready light comes on, and barely any steam reaches the pad.
Fit the new cup dry, press until it latches, then fill and run for a minute to purge the line. Using filtered water from the start slows the mineral build-up that kills the next one.
