A carpet rake is the tool you reach for when a vacuum head alone will not lift matted pile, and this is the Wessel Werk version in grey, part 99.1047-865. Its neck is sized for 1 1/4 inch tubing — 32mm — which is the standard wand diameter on most canister and central vacuum systems.
Rigid teeth comb through the pile rather than gliding over it, standing crushed fibre back up along furniture tracks and traffic lanes and bringing embedded grit and pet hair up to where suction can take it. It is also the tool for finishing a room after a deep clean, when you want the pile laid in one direction.
Measure your wand before ordering: a 32mm fitting will not seat on a 1 1/2 inch or 35mm system.
