Product details

Front bottom plate for the Windsor XP18 commercial upright, part 5415HG. It is the underside panel around the brush roll — the piece that sets how far the bristles drop below the nozzle and forms the chamber where the agitator meets the carpet.

Bottom plates wear thin from being dragged across carpet, and they crack when the machine catches a threshold. Either way the seal around the brush is lost: air is drawn in at the gap instead of through the carpet, and pickup falls off right where it matters. A worn plate can also scuff hard floors as it drags.

Fitting a flat plate re-establishes the brush height and the seal in one go. Transfer any hardware from the old plate and check that the new one sits flat against the housing before tightening it down.
