Product details

Short looms take the worst of the vibration, and the run from the on/off switch back to the board inside an ET power head is one of the shortest on the machine. Part 881 replaces that harness complete on an ET-1 or ET-2 head.

A conductor fatigued at its crimp gives a switch that works when it feels like it: the head starts, dies as soon as the wand is flexed, then behaves perfectly on the bench a minute later. Because the fault follows movement rather than temperature or run time, it is one of the more frustrating ones to chase, and it is often mistaken for a failing switch or a tired brush motor. Renewing the loom brings back a positive, repeatable switch action, and it is worth looking closely at the switch contacts themselves while the wiring is out of the housing, since the two components fail from the same cause and at roughly the same age.

  • Part number: 881
  • Machines: SEBO ET-1 and ET-2 power heads
  • Function: factory loom joining the on/off switch to the board
  • Points to it: switching that cuts in and out, a head that responds to being wiggled, a control that needs pressure held on it
  • Install: match the connector orientation to the harness you remove
  • Related: part 880, the micro safety switch with wiring for the same heads

Symptoms separate this part from the interlock switch cleanly enough. Intermittent running, a head that answers to being wiggled, and switching that works one minute and not the next all sit with the harness. A head that stays completely silent from the moment it is connected sits with the micro safety switch, part 880, instead. Matching the symptom to the part first saves ordering both.

Unplug the vacuum before opening the head, and route the new harness along the original path so it is not trapped when the housing closes. Searches for a SEBO ET-1 switch harness, an ET-2 on off wiring loom or a genuine SEBO power head wiring repair part land on 881. Ships in 2-5 business days.
