Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 48282A is the gasket Eureka and Sanitaire use at this bag fitting, a compressible seal fitted between the bag collar and the machine housing that keeps dirt-laden air routed into the bag instead of leaking out at the joint.
Rubber seals like this one lose their compression the same way over time: they harden, flatten out, and eventually split as heat and age take their toll. Once that happens, air escapes right at the collar instead of passing through the bag, a thin layer of dust starts collecting on the floor behind the machine, and cleaning performance falls off even though nothing about the bag itself has changed. A machine that smells dusty mid-run, despite a good bag being fitted, is frequently pointing at this seal rather than the bag.
Coverage spans a broad group of Eureka and Sanitaire machines built around the same bag collar, so cross-check your specific model against this list rather than assuming a similarly sized gasket will do, since even a slightly undersized part will not compress evenly around its full circumference.
Press the new gasket fully into place before reattaching the bag, then run a finger around the joint once everything is buttoned back up to feel for any gap before returning the machine to regular use.
