Eureka/Sanitaire Base Assembly - C2094, Red

Part 579009 is the base assembly for the Eureka and Sanitaire C2094 line of commercial uprights. Current production has moved away from the black housing these machines shipped with originally: what ships today is molded in red and has holes cut into the rear panel, a running change rather than a defect.

This piece supports the brush roll, controls how close the head rides to the carpet, and closes the bottom of the airflow channel. In daily commercial use it is usually the first structural part to fail, most often cracking around a wheel post or wearing thin along the front lip where it drags against the floor. A machine with a failing base scrapes audibly, rattles under load, or leaves a strip of carpet untouched to one side of an otherwise clean pass. Look over the wheel posts and the front lip whenever the machine is turned over for a belt change, since both usually give warning well before they let go.
