A complete brush roll assembly for the Sanitaire SC7500A commercial upright, part 1619104. It comes as a unit — barrel, bristles and end fittings — so it goes back into the brush chamber ready to run.
On a commercial machine the brush roll does the heaviest work in the vacuum and wears at a rate a household unit never sees. Once the bristles have gone short and rounded, the roll stops combing the pile and the machine relies on suction alone, which shows up immediately as poor pickup on cut-pile carpet. Thread and hair wrapped at the ends adds drag and can slow the roll under load.
This assembly fits the Sanitaire and Eureka SC7500A. Clear wraps from the barrel at every bag change to keep the new roll turning freely and to protect the belt driving it.
